Privacy Policy

Veluna Rent is operated by Veluna Elara LLC. We collect the account, property, tenant, vendor, maintenance, notification, and compliance data needed to run the service.

We use Supabase for authentication and database storage, Resend for email, Twilio for SMS, Expo/Firebase/APNs for push notifications, Google Places for vendor discovery, OpenStreetMap’s Nominatim service for optional property-address search, Pinecone for search indexes, and OpenRouter with Google Gemini for compliance assistant responses. We share data with these providers only to deliver the product features you request.

The mobile app asks for camera or photo-library access only when you choose to attach maintenance photos for vendor estimates. We use push notification tokens only to send maintenance, dispatch, and compliance alerts you enable. The mobile app does not collect your device location. On a public QR maintenance report, you may separately choose to let your browser verify the sticker location. The report still works if you decline. The browser sends coordinates and accuracy for that one check; Veluna retains only distance and accuracy when the reading confidently places the scan more than 300 feet from the property, then holds vendor dispatch for review. To help you enter a property, the street address is sent to OpenStreetMap’s Nominatim geocoding service when you tap Find address — you can enter the address manually instead. When you dispatch a repair, the property address is sent to the same service to locate the property and find nearby vendors. Property jurisdiction and vendor search are based on the address you confirm.

When you choose to use the Compliance Assistant, your message and relevant compliance context are sent to Pinecone, OpenRouter, and Google Gemini to retrieve sources and generate a response. The app asks for your permission before the first message is sent. Do not enter confidential legal strategy, payment card data, government IDs, or information you are not authorized to share.

When you choose Smart Report photo help or Asset Passport nameplate reading, the selected image and limited item context are sent to OpenRouter and Google Gemini to suggest visible issue details or read a nameplate. Suggestions remain editable, and nameplate values are not saved as verified facts until the property owner confirms them. You can use manual entry instead.

When you call the Veluna Rent voice receptionist, Twilio processes speech and OpenRouter with Google Gemini generates the response. We retain the call transcript and any unanswered question needed to operate and improve the receptionist. Relevant repair or compliance questions may be privacy-scrubbed and sent to Pinecone for retrieval or clustering; unreviewed caller questions are isolated from the trusted answer indexes. Voicemail audio is stored only when you choose to leave a voicemail.

You can request export or deletion of your data from the mobile app account settings or by contacting support@californiarentcompliance.com. Some records may be retained when required for legal, security, accounting, or dispute-resolution purposes.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use app data for third-party advertising.
